Washington County EMS is currently accepting applications for a
full-time EMT-Intermediate position. Applicant should be a high
school graduate or equivalent with experience in emergency medical
care. Applicant must currently be credentialed at NCOEMS level in
which they are applying for.
This position will work a 12 hour shift, rotating day and night
shifts. Applicant must possess a valid NC driver’s license and have
the ability to deal tactfully with the public. The hiring process
will be based on written and skill competencies within the
EMT-Intermediates scope of practice. All applicants are subject to
criminal background checks prior to employment. Salary negotiable
based upon experience.

WATERWORKS MECHANIC I
Washington County Water Department is
currently accepting applications for a full-time Waterworks Mechanic
I. Duties will include installing, maintaining and repairing water
lines and systems, connections, main meter vaults, water taps, and
reading meters. Qualifications: Must have a HS Diploma/GED, valid
driver’s license with an acceptable driving history, ability to
operate a variety of equipment and tools, physical ability to lift
50 pounds. NC Class C-Distribution license a plus. Salary starts at
$23,148 plus benefits. Applications are available at the Washington
