Washington County, NC

Generous Incentives, Low Taxes.

One of America’s most business-friendly states, North Carolina
makes it particularly attractive for new, expanding and relocating
companies to choose Washington County.
Designated a Tier One county, Washington County is eligible to
receive the maximum level of state incentives, many of which are not
available in other North Carolina counties. You can learn more about
state funded incentive programs at the NC Department of Commerce
web site.
Washington County also partners with various agencies, such as
North Carolina’s Northeast Economic Development Commission, that
offer support for economic development projects. And we recently
implemented the Washington County Economic Development
Performance Grant Program (EDPGP) to support new and expanding
businesses within the county.
