The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization existing for over 50 years. Our average membership is 175 businesses and individuals.  Most members are small, locally–owned businesses, many of which have been a part of our community for many years.  

The objectives of the chamber are to develop, encourage, and protect the commercial, agricultural, professional, financial, general business, and residential interests of Washington County.

• Operates the Washington County Visitors' Center
• Offers free business and personal development seminars in conjunction with community colleges
• Offers community awards at Annual Banquet for Citizen of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and Small Business of the Year
• Help businesses host Business After Hours event
• Ribbon–cutting ceremonies for new businesses
• Promotes and advertises all local events
• Keeps members and the public updated on Chamber activities through quarterly newsletters, quarterly tabloid inserts in local newspapers, and a weekly radio show
• Provides business and community service referrals
• Provides history, literature, accommodation information, relocation packets, and a variety of other information to the public
• Make referrals to appropriate economic development agencies and small business centers for those wanting to start businesses in Washington County
