Plymouth Municipal Airport Proposed Improvements
Washington County is proposing to construct a full parallel taxiway and connector taxiways at the Plymouth Municipal Airport in Washington County, North Carolina. The proposed action would involve the construction of a new approximately 5,500-linear foot parallel taxiway that is 35 feet wide and maintains 400 feet of separation to the west of Runway 3-21. Three new 35-foot-wide connector taxiways would be constructed, with an existing one being removed. Two existing taxilane connectors would also be widened to provide multiple accesses to and from the runway. The project also includes the construction of a new 25-foot-wide Taxiway E to provide access to the new parallel taxiway from the T-hanger, Taxiway F which will provide access to existing hangers, and 24,165 square feet of apron expansion. The purpose of the proposed actions is to satisfy FAA standards and to improve efficiency and safety at the airport.
